POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Director leads entire sales team comprised of Business Development, Inside and Outside Sales Reps, Sales Managers, and Sales Process. The Sales Director is responsible for reaching an overall revenue and bookings targets for the division.  The Sales Director is responsible for developing business processes and translating sales strategies to actionable tactics to guide and coach the sales team to reach their individual goals.  The Sales Director is responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for the Division.  The Sales Director should live the Evoqua culture and embrace the Enable, Empower and Accountable philosophy.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS (IDENTIFY UP TO 6 CORE RESPONSIBILITIES WITH ASSOCIATED JOB TASKS)    

  • Develop a strong culture of sales professionalism for the sales team through on-going management and coaching of the team, including hiring and termination decisions, performance evaluations, etc.
  • Develop, maintain, plan and drive sales strategy to achieve national growth goals.
  • Drive adoption and use of CRM tools and manage sales reports to provide real time feedback on progress and gaps to targets ensuring accuracy of sales data, including forecasts and FIND agreements; ensure pipeline remains full of qualified opportunities. 
  • Determine and implement tactics to execute the Evoqua sales strategy.
  • Utilize the Evoqua EDGE selling process, coach team through difficult sales scenarios and guide them through the process to gain clarity to customer needs – joining sales reps on customer calls routinely.
  • Work with the Sales, Application Engineering, Service, and support teams to drive collaboration, business process improvement, and growth; effectively coach through a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Work with RGM’s, VPGM and Finance routinely to forecast activity and determine inventory and asset needs as well as determining where sales efforts can be improved.
  • Identify key wins and develop opportunity-specific strategies to win.
  • Develop and implement commercial and organizational initiatives to manage the commercial team effectively.
  • Support individual sales opportunities as needed, travelling with sales managers and reps to make presentations to customers, consultants, and industry groups to promote the Evoqua brand and provide direct / immediate feedback to salesperson.
  • Continually develop knowledge of the business climate, applications and competition for his/her defined geography and accounts.
  • Work with direct reports to develop and execute a development plan for each Manager on the commercial team; motivate team members to meet and exceed their goals.
  • Conducting one on ones and performance reviews in a routine and timely manner.
  • Support execution of various projects as needed / requested

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (INFORMATION PROVIDED BELOW WILL BE USED IN THE JOB POSTING PROCESS)

 

  1. FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of business experience in a similar role within a similar industry (Oil & Gas is strongly preferred)
  • GENERALLY, IF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IS ACCEPTABLE, THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THREE YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE FOR EVERY ONE YEAR OF COLLEGE EDUCATION REQUIRED

 

 

  1. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Possess the ability to interact and collaborate with intercompany work groups
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Products and CRM
  • Successful experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Committed to continuous education on industry trends and self-improvement (technology / leadership)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must be willing and available to travel up to 40% nationally
