Position Summary

This position is within the Light division and is responsible for managing and growing customer accounts. It supports the installation and maintenance of high purity water systems and equipment. Works with a sense of urgency to offer innovative and bold solutions to our customers. Additionally, it drives profit by identifying needs and upselling / cross-selling additional products to existing customers.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

•    Owns and leads the customer experience by delivering sales and service solutions; proactively communicates the advantages and features of our products to add value for our customers and grow wallet share    
•    Achieves sales and profit goals by utilizing consultative sales techniques to upsell and cross sell additional products and services to existing customers    
•    Supports the installation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems and equipment; services, installs and maintains pumps, motors, piping and other mechanical systems as well as electrical circuits    
•    Primarily grows existing accounts, may search for new business
•    Responds to customer questions and overcomes objections to close quality sales    
•    Documents all prospects information, communications and sales in CRM system    
•    Lives Evoqua's culture and exemplify our Growth Enabling Behaviors to be highly enabled to deliver, highly empowered to succeed, and highly accountable to lead
•    Sells less-complex products and services; completes routine sales following established practices and policies
•    Focuses approximately 80% of time on service and 20% of time on sales        
•    Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
3-5 years of experience
Previous technician experience required
BA/BS preferred 
•    Strong communication skills
•    Intra-departmental communication for purpose of alignment/information sharing
•    Responsible for more transactional type sales, with lower levels of complexity 
•    Ability to be coached and learn sales techniques and company offerings
•    Ability to learn about the collaborative selling process
•    Ability to work under clearly defined guidelines
•    Must have an acceptable driving record to be insurable to drive for company business
•    Basic understanding of ERP and CRM systems
•    Fluency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
