Position Summary for the Validation Engineer

The Engineer III (Validation) is responsible for making sure all equipment and components are within specification.  This individual will oversee creating validation test protocols and specifications as well interacting with customers and project teams for the factor acceptance test.  The Engineer III (Validation) goes through all the documentation with the customer on the floor to ensure everything is in compliance.  This role also responds to Regulatory Affairs issues and registrations for compliance.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks for the Validation Engineer

•    Configures solutions based on product or process specifications and requirements. 
•    Increased responsibility for supervision of projects.  
•    Takes on a leadership role in the technical direction of a jr. engineer and the development of their skills.  
•    Reviews technical concepts of major projects. 
•    Commits to deliverables with customers and/or mgmt.  
•    Drive value creation in the business while mitigating risk. 
•    Develops strategy of execution of work.
•    Takes ownership of business practices to achieve impact within the role.
•    Drive some strategic customer relations. 
•    May act as a mentor and guide others. 
•    Effectively presents and explains engineering concepts both orally and in writing. 
•    Experienced engineer able to independently operate.

Position Requirements for the Validation Engineer

FORMAL EDUCATION: 

  • BS/BA degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Manufacturing ideal
  • 4-10 years of engineering experience

 

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong knowledge of operational processes as defined in work area. 
  • Strong understanding of business acumen. 
  • Strong manufacturing or quality assurance background ideal
  • Excellent communication skills

Additional Details for the Validation Engineer

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS - 10%

Salary:  $90K - $95K
