Position Summary for the Engineer III

The experienced Engineer III is responsible for Process & Mechanical Engineering design of Industrial Water Treatment Products and Systems and will work in cross functional teams as well as perform work as an individual.  This individual is responsible for moderate to advanced complex projects and configuration of customer solutions of moderate to advanced complexity.  Focal areas will include piping design, tank design, vessel design, sizing and selecting pumps, sizing and selecting valves, and selecting analytical equipment to support process design. The candidate will work directly with 3D design to develop virtual assemblies of skid mounted equipment.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks for the Engineer III

  • Configures solutions based on product or process specifications and requirements. 
  • Increased responsibility for supervision of projects.  
  • Takes on a leadership role in the technical direction of a Jr. Engineer and the development of their skills.  
  • Reviews technical concepts of major projects. 
  • Commits to deliverables with customers and/or mgmt.  
  • Drive value creation in the business while mitigating risk. 
  • Develops strategy of execution of work.
  • Takes ownership of business practices to achieve impact within the role.
  • Drive some strategic customer relations. 
  • May act as a mentor and guide others. 
  • Effectively presents and explains engineering concepts both orally and in writing. 
  • Experienced engineer able to independently operate.
  • Utilize SAP for loading and releasing Bills of Materials.

Position Requirements for the Engineer III

•    BS/BA degree in Engineering - Chemical or Mechanical Engineering ideal
•    4-10 years of experience


  • Strong knowledge of operational processes as defined in work area. 
  • Strong understanding of business acumen. 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of fluid mechanics (water specific) including: pump curve analysis, piping system pressure drop analysis, and material compatibility.
  • Perform Engineering Design calculations and have working knowledge of industrial codes for; ASME B31.1, “Power Piping”, ASME B31.3, “Process Piping” and ASME Section VIII, “Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code”
  • Knowledge of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Able to execute individual tasks and lead mechanical project team.
  • Water treatment process knowledge is an asset
  • SAP business system experience also an asset.

Salary Range: $90K - $95K
