Position Summary

Supporting, defining and improving manufacturing processes. Working with customer and design specs in coordination with engineering to support daily manufacturing and assembly operations.

Execute tasks start to finish autonomously. Responsible for various processes in support of operations. Operates independently to complete requirements.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

• Develop and submit redlines for required design changes during manufacturing.

• Attend design reviews and provide feedback to support ease and clarity during manufacturing.

• Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions via the NCR (non-conformance reporting) system.

• Identify cost savings opportunities and manage implementation projects.

• Demonstrates advanced engineering technical skills including troubleshooting in a mechanical and electrical environment.

• Support eLM (Lean Management) Progression at facility.

• Independently support engineering requirements, ISO policies, and overall quality output through manufacturing processes.

• Identify and provide justification for new equipment or other capital improvements.

• Mentor, train and guide others in facility processes.

Position Requirements

FORMAL EDUCATION:
• Apprentice level; 2 year associate degree preferred and/or working on BS/BA degree; or 7+ years of working experience substitute degree
• 5+ years of relevant experience
 
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• Independent thinker

• Supports front-line technicians and engineering groups

• Able to execute hands on tasks according to requirements of assigned duties

• Able to perform basic manufacturing engineer tasks as directed by manager

• Lean / Continuous Improvement / Six Sigma experience or certifications are a plus

Pay Range: $60 to $70k
