Evoqua is looking for a Field Service Engineer who will have a home base of Colorado Springs and candidates from all over the US will be considered 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Requires limited supervision, responsible for solving moderate to complex solutions; able to direct developing other team members.
  • Conducts/performs semi-complex site surveys to develop base or installation design plans.
  • Trains customers and other engineers to maintain and adjust complex tools, test equipment and calibration items, etc.
  • May develop the planning and estimating of labor categories, rates, material dollar costs, transportation expenses and per diem rates to complete complex proposals.
  • Guides and performs the review of complex-task plans, drawings, and installation schematics and provides continual guidance throughout task duration.
  • Completes and submits reports covering all job activity.
  • Preempts potential problems and provides effective solutions in reaction to application of concepts, techniques, knowledge or processes.
  • Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem area for others.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of professional principals and skills.
  • Applies judgment and authority for safety stop work.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Specialized skill/training or certification may be required in addition to all prior level Tech training requirements.
  • Travel will be up to 90% (domestic and international).

 

 Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering or related field of study preferred)
  • 5+ years of related electro-mechanical experience
  • Ability to research electro-mechanical parts needed for repairs, alterations of water systems
  • Ability to understand complex Plumbing and Instrumentation Diagrams
  • Familiarity with PLC, including program loading and minor changes to Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC's
  • Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Must have or be able to obtain a passport
  • Must be able to function in a team environment; usually works with minimal supervision, works independently and has ability to lead/guide/mentor.
  • Excellent communication skills;
