Position Summary for the Sr. Supv Facilities & Maintenance

Evoqua Water Technologies is searching for a dynamic Sr. Supervisor Facilities and Maintenance to take on the responsibility of overseeing plant maintenance activities in order to meet business objectives. The successful candidate will be accountable for operational aspects of plant performance and will ensure that objectives are attained in a safe, cost-effective manner.  This person will direct Maintenance Technicians utilizing Lean Management System tools to ensure the Maintenance team is performing their duties as necessary within a Carbon Reactivation Plant.

 

This role is 100% on-site.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks for the Sr. Supv Facilities and Maintenance

  • Meet all safety goals and training schedules.
  • Trains new employees and ensures that all employees are thoroughly trained in all procedures.
  • Maintains and improves Maintenance service levels.
  • Executes cost control procedures, including analysis of inventories and budgets.
  • Makes recommendations and implements ideas for improved, efficient operations through new processes and equipment.
  • Project management/Contractor management
  • Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Complies with and enforces all environmental regulations and policies.
  • Sets performance expectations and conducts performance reviews for all subordinates
  • Issues, distributes and enforces daily duty assignments.
  • Monitors and ensures proper functioning of all monitoring equipment for required reporting.
  • Maintains plant property and equipment to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and to ensure effective and economical operations.
  • Prepares and submits operating reports to management to inform them of current plant uptime/availability status and to make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assures effective customer service and relations through timely completion of preventative and breakdown work orders.
  • Responsibility for production equipment reliability, production output, and product quality.
  • Selects, trains, develops, and motivates staff to maintain plant operations.
  • Works with other operations groups to achieve success.

Position Requirements for the Sr. Supv Facilities and Maintenance

FORMAL EDUCATION: 

Preferred: 

  • BS Degree in engineering discipline
  • 7-10 years of related Maintenance operations experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience


Required:

  • 2-5 years of related leadership experience

 

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in an industrial and/or regulated environment.
  • Experience utilizing Lean Management System tools
  • Experience with Maintenance work order tracking software
  • Experience with Engineering design/drawing software
  • Robust knowledge of industrial rotary equipment, carbon reactivation process, waste-water treatment, and air pollution control systems.  
  • Understanding of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste DOT regulations.
  • Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
  • Demonstrated ability to identify improvement opportunities, develop countermeasures, and drive results.
  • Engaging personality with good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of internal employees and customers.
