Evoqua is hiring! We're looking for a talented Field Service Technician to join our Heavy Industry Technology group in Delhi NY.


The Field Service Technician will be responsible for operating the wastewater plant located within a new construction commercial facility, on-site during the day, and monitoring it remotely in the evenings and on weekends.  You will be required to respond to all issues regarding the wastewater plant as this is an autonomous position.  Regular communication with a remote manager will be required.


The Field Service Technician will be completely involved in the start-up process for the wastewater treatment operations of the new facility and may train at additional sites until construction is completed.


In addition, this position will be responsible for servicing, installing, and maintaining commercial and industrial water purification equipment, including pumps, motors, piping, and electrical circuits. Specific equipment includes Membrane Bioreactors, Chemical injection systems, Aeration tanks, Sludge tanks, and other water treatment equipment.


This position will be day shift; can include weekends and Holidays with some occasional overtime and after-hours on-call responsibilities.


Qualifications for this position include:
• H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent, although a two year vocational or associates degree is preferred
• 2-5 years experience in servicing, installing, and maintaining pumps, motors, piping, and other mechanical systems, as well as electrical circuits, is strongly desired

• PLC and advanced troubleshooting experience is strongly desired, SCADA experience (highly desired)
• Water treatment industry experience 
• Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Must be willing and available to work some overtime, including weekends if necessary, and to be “On-call” during non-business hours for emergency service work.
• Must possess good organizational skills and be able to work well with others in a dynamic environment
