Evoqua Water Technologies, LLC is searching for an Account Representative to support our Heavy Industry Aftermarket Water Technologies Business Unit located in Houston, TX. The Account Representative is focused on proactively prospecting for sales through outbound phone calls and other electronic media to new and existing customers promoting Aftermarket Services and Products.

The responsibilities of this position include:
• The sales of the Aftermarket product line to the Heavy Industry customers (Power, Sweetener, Chemical Processing, Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper, Metals, Mining, etc.) within the territory of Alabama and portions of Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennesee and Texas.
• Coordinates Aftermarket sales within their territories between the Field Sales Rep’s and Heavy Industry Inside Sales Reps (two Field Sales Reps and one or more Inside Sales Reps in Rockford, IL).
• Pricing of new opportunities within existing or new accounts
• Work with the Field Sales Rep’s and Sales Management on the development and maintenance of target or key accounts.
• Develop relationships with customers through phone, email, and occasional (10-20%) face to face visits typically with Field Sales Engineers, Managers or Service personnel and participation in industry related conferences and trade shows.
• Probe for opportunities for services or offerings under the WT family of products.
• Works with Heavy Industry ISR’s on account management, product trending, and repetitive order processing
• Provides basic technical support on the product lines.

The qualifications the ideal candidate will have include:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other technical degree such as Chemistry or Biology is preferred.
• Must have proactive sales ability with an outgoing positive approach, and the ability to be effectively competitive, persistent, and fearless.
• Strong phone skills including the ability to build relationships via
• Computer skills including demonstrated familiarity with Microsoft applications as required; familiarity with CRM programs valuable as well as other electronic selling media.
• Successful individuals will be self-motivated, goal orientated, organized, and disciplined.

Job Family Responsibilities:

*Supports the unit by achieving or exceeding assigned individual sales goals.
*Utilizes corporate CRM and quoting programs to facilitate sharing of customer information across multiple internal sales and marketing groups and to monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s).
*Maintains current knowledge of market conditions and competitor’s activities to develop sales plans that achieve or exceed sales goals.
*Implements an account development plan that optimizes revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction/loyalty directly or through channel partners.
*Tracks ongoing business results compared to the plans, established goals and executes corrective action(s) when needed.
*Initiates / builds / maintains long-term relationships with the appropriate account decision makers directly or through channel partners.
*Participates in or initiates client presentations articulating the value proposition of product / solution / service offerings.
Supports the handling of customer complaints and equipment problems.


*BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or
equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge and Experience:

*Demonstrates a good grasp of knowledge and principles of field of
specialization and applies through successful completion of assignments. *Successfully applies knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.
*Typically 2-5 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. *Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where
