Evoqua Water Technologies is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to join the team in Houston, TX.  This Lead Technician will be part of the team responsible for providing highly skilled troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair for different types of Evoqua’s Water Remediation and Degassing Equipment. 


Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance and repair processes and tasks in respect to Evoqua field service equipment including the systems described below, able to follow start-up checklists; understands hazards and maintenance requirements, PLC and set points (where applicable); understands required documentation and works toward consistent and accurate completion of PM and scheduled maintenance in a timely manner:
    • ICE, Thermal Oxidizer, Gas CAT-OX, Electric CAT-OX, SVE (sil vapor extraction)
    • DPE (dual phase extracting), Air Sparge, Ozone Injection System
    • SRS (sil removal system & H-SRS), Hurricane VAC System, Scrubber
    • Vapor Treatment System, Water Treatment System
  • Creatively and deliberately assess equipment needs in house and in the field and communicate to Field Service Tech’s and/or Field Service Managers
  • Participate in project calls with all involved stake holders
  • Shows professionalism in all communications, both written and verbal, with co-workers, staff as well as clients and other vendors (e.g. able to answer phone, provide solutions/answers to majority of inquiries independently and is able to direct as appropriate to other resources.)
  • Attends and participates in safety meeting; ability to facilitate safety training session related to specific topic
  • Overtime will be required

Work Environment:


This position can work in all-weather elements including work at safety sensitive job sites.


Physical Demands:

  • Raising or lowering object that may include upward pulling up to 75 pounds (team lifting required for anything over 75 pounds)
  • May require being in a stationary position for extended periods of time, including driving
  • Moderate computer and other office machine use; must be able to operate, activate and position hands/fingers accordingly
  • Excellent visionary capacity for detecting, determining, perceiving, recognizing, judging, assessing safety hazards and proper loading of equipment
  • Ascend/descend ladders to enter trailers and other equipment
  • Must be able to follow all safety rules and wear all required safety equipment which includes face mask and respirator equipment
  • Exposure to inclement weather conditions and various hazardous materials


This position may require frequent travel, about 20% of the time, to support business needs, including overnight and air travel. 


Required Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Intermediate Electrical, Chemical and Mechanical experience
  • Experience with Thermal Oxidizer’s & Burner Systems is a plus
  • 2-3 years leadership experience.
  • Technical / Troubleshooting skills with ability to read and understand complex technical manuals and schematics.
  • 3-5 years working on industrial / field service equipment
  • Have a strong affinity for learning, particularly new technologies
  • Work well both independently and in small teams
  • Must have TWIC card.
  • Must have clean driving record, and eligible to drive company vehicles by insurance company
