Position Summary
This position is for a sales engineer for our North American Magneto Special Anode sales group. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with customer-centric personality, strong communication skills, MS Office proficiency especially Excel and CRM, and consultative technical selling capabilities.
Core Responsibilities and Tasks
- Identify prospects
- Determine prospect's needs for the use of insoluble anodes in their electrolytic application
- Match Magneto's capabilities in anode and coating design to achieve value addition to prospect's operations
- Work with Magneto engineers and scientists in The Netherlands, design anodes to meet prospect's requirements
- Present design and value proposition to the prospects and customers
- Provide quotations
- Secure orders for anodes from prospects and customers
- Develop strong working relationships with customers in assigned markets
- Become product and anode technology expert in assigned markets
- Work with internal engineering, R&D, product management, logistics, and production personnel based in The Netherlands, and insides sales support in North America to advance the division's products and services
- Document/manage activities/efforts through use of CRM, ERP, and quoting system
- Provide data/reports
- Achieve sales/margin goals and assigned objectives.
- Expand knowledge and capabilities to assume North America sales management role within 2 – 3 years.
Position Requirements
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required: BS in Chemical Engineer (with strong mechanical capabilities) or Mechanical Engineer (with strong chemical underpinnings)
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
2-5 years experience selling specialty components / fabrications and / or specialty coatings
Proficiency in MS Suite, (Excel); CRM systems, preferably MS 365
Domestic/International travel
Preferred:
Familiar with titanium/alloys fabrication
Familiar with specialty coatings, electroplating, hypochlorite generation, chlor alkali
Experience with electrical and electrochemical calculations
Additional Details
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 50% to 60%
