Evoqua is searching for an Outside Field Sales Representative to support our Light Industry Technologies Business Unit products located in the Kansas City area.
The Sales Representative is responsible for sales growth of high purity water systems and associated services for the Industrial, Laboratory, Food & Beverage and Health Sciences market for their assigned territory. This position reports to the Midwest Region Sales Manager with a direct relationship and responsibility for the local Branch revenue budget.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Sell to the Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage and Semiconductor Markets (25%), and the Health Sciences Market (25%)
  • Provide regional management of the clinical analyzer National Account partnerships (10%)
  • Be Responsible for a select number of large local key accounts such as Medical Centers, Universities, Manufacturing, and Biopharma companies (25%)
  • Coordinate and execute regional and local Trade Shows and Table Top activities (5%)
  • Assist regional Engineering firms with water specification generation through “Lunch and Learns” and relationship building (10%)
  • Update and maintain the CRM (Pipeline Management), and provide accurate forecasting
  • Keep updated, the Outlook Calendar of Customer Facing activities & priorities

 

Requirements:

  • BA or BS Degree, preferably in a technical field, although a combination of education and directly related experience will also be considered
  • 3-5 years’ experience in technical outside sales, either direct or thru additional specialized channels meeting / exceeding sales targets preferred.
  • Experience with general water chemistry and design, and clinical, research and general laboratories and knowledge/experience with high purity water filtration equipment for the Industrial, Biopharma, Pharma, Food & Beverage and Health Sciences industry strongly desired
  • The ability to positively interact with other team members and to successfully sell, coordinate, design, and install and start-up water systems and the ability to implement and effectively manage high transaction-type sales and multiple on-going projects
  • Must have proactive sales ability with an outgoing positive approach, and the ability to be effectively competitive, persistent, and fearless.
  • Excellent presentation and training skills/experience and strong phone skills including the ability to build relationships via Telephone.
  • High level of skill in verbal and written communications to maintain positive working relationships with customers, direct staff, peers, selling professionals, and distributors
  • Computer skills including demonstrated familiarity with Microsoft applications and CRM programs required.
  • Successful individuals will be self-motivated, goal orientated, organized, and disciplined.
  • Must have a valid U.S. Driver's License and clean driving; must meet eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicle
