Evoqua Water Technologies, the world's largest manufacturer of water and waste water systems, currently has an opening in Los Angeles, CA for an aggressive Industry Sales Representative I for our Western Region Territory, to service existing clients and establish new customers in the assigned region.  This position will focus exclusively on Service Ion Exchange and Mobile Demineralization sales and technical support.

 

The candidate for this position must reside within the Los Angeles area. This position requires work from an office in Los Angeles with travel to customer sites in the LA Metro Area.  This position requires a high level of coordination and collaboration with other sales representatives, the regeneration factory manager, and the mobile dispatch planners.  Strong communication and analytical skills are required.

 

Travel:  Position requires 10-20%+ travel within the western United States.  A company provided vehicle and expense reimbursement are included.

 

Skills:

  • Sales experience desired or a desire to do sales
  • Able to understand and react to customers' needs promptly and efficiently
  • Must be organized, self-motivated and self-disciplined
  • Travel required as necessary.
  • Good communication and presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate; candidate must be familiar with basic Microsoft Office software suite programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and must be able to learn web-based programs for Customer Relationship Management.
  • Local knowledge of markets and territory a plus.

 

 

Education:

  • This position requires a technical degree or equivalent experience in engineering, biological sciences or chemistry.
