Position Summary

Evoqua is currently seeking a Electrodionization (“EDI”) Ultra-Pure Business Development Specialist to build both short- and long-term value with technical and functional wins during the sales cycle. In this role, the EDI BD will work to understand client requirements, design solutions, and to help client understand the value of Evoqua EDI products, solutions and technologies. Core Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Maximizing sales revenue at targeted new accounts and business opportunities through the development of key personal relationships.
  • Ability to interface and make technical presentations.
  • Sales efforts will focus on developing piloting, rental and new system opportunities at the plant and corporate level.
  • Technical aptitude to manage system piloting opportunities.
  • Knowledge and experience in key focus markets; micro-electronics, hydrogen production and industrial
  • Develop strategy for displacing conventional technology (ex. Ion Exchange resin) with EDI systems in conjunction with the North American Regional Sales Team.
  • Build a pipeline and demonstrate effectiveness at closing opportunities.
  • Experience with a multi-channel approach - direct to end customers, to OEMs/packagers, to E&Cs. 
  • Participate in sales forecasting and financial planning processes, including monthly reports.
  • Work closely with sales and engineering teams to develop and commercialize new technology.
  • Maintain excellent communications externally and internally, in a well-organized fashion.  Expected to conduct effective technical presentations by web-conference as well as in person.
  • Work closely with internal teams in bid & proposal process and clearly understanding all customer needs and expectations.
  • Strong technical sales and account management & project management experience.
  • Understanding of competitive technology.
  • Expected to keep the sales leadership team and engineering teams informed of all market intelligence relating to competitors, products and opportunities.
  • An ability to anticipate and plan for changing trends in the market and develop the sales tools & account plans to achieve the sales targets & goals. 

Position Requirements

•    Bachelor's degree (Technical degree Preferred) 
•    3 -5 years' business development experience 
•    5+ years industrial selling experience
•    Experience in either micro-electronic, industrial or hydrogen industry 
•    Experience with Ion Exchange technology - preferred
•    Team oriented and strong communication skills 
•    Driven, dynamic and has strong relationship building and presentation skills
•    Demonstrate strong track record in a sales growth and new customer acquisition 
•    Ability to travel approximately 40% - 50% of the time
