Evoqua is hiring in Parker, Arizona!

 

Evoqua is seeking an experience EHS Professional for our facility in Parker, Arizona.  In this role you will mentor and support the business with their execution of EHS compliance, driving development, implementation and continuous improvement. The position will report to the Plant Manager. The EHS Professional will oversee Evoqua’s EHS programs to achieve and maintain compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations as well as Corporate policies and procedures.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assures that assigned EHS policies, programs, training and procedures are developed/updated and implemented.
  • Ownership is taken to ensure compliance with current RCRA, OSHA and DOT regulations and requirements.
  • Conduct monthly EHS Meetings/Trainings and schedule as needed.
  • Coordinates and conducts EHS training as assigned by management.
  • Conducts inspections to limit client's regulatory liability.
  • Ensure work practices are implemented, and equipment utilized, to reduce injury and illness potential and overall risk to employees.
  • Provide assistance and advice on EHS issues to make recommendations to facility management.
  • Maintain relevant EHS documentation and perform facility EHS inspections.
  • Coordinate the purchase, proper use, maintenance, and inspection of necessary safety and personal protective equipment.
  • Prepare applicable EHS reports as necessary.
  • Provide assistance and advice on EHS issues to make recommendations to facility management.
  • Participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors.
  • Assist in the development and presentation of relevant EHS training and certification programs.
  • Maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees, as well as our customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to oversee Hazardous Waste Storage and Treatment area and ensure regulatory agency compliance i.e. labeling, containment, proper disposal, documentation, etc
  • Walk the facility floor on a regular basis to establish EHS presence and provide support.
  • Write, implement, and manage EHS Programs, Policies and Procedures.
  • Ability to evaluate PPE and ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE.
  • Have knowledge and enforce compliance of regulatory requirements (i.e. OSHA, DOT , EPA, etc.), including company EHS policies and procedures

 

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science field
  • Preferred: Minimum of 10 years of Environmental, Health and Safety program management experience
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing / warehousing environment
  • Ability to influence at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to establish, maintain and foster a positive and harmonious working relationship with stakeholders within the business
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively, including preparation and development of clear, concise and accurate reports.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, able to work independently, handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, online software platforms, with the ability to use spreadsheets and data analysis application
