Azure Application Architect

DUTIES:

  • Oversee the design process for application software
  • Manage outputs of several off-shore, third party support individuals
  • Implement and recommend viable architectural approaches that support long term maintainability, extensibility, and interoperability of enterprise applications
  • Exhibit a deep understanding of server virtualization, networking and storage ensuring that the solution scales and performs with high availability and uptime
  • Design and build the Minimum Viable Cloud Platform on Azure DevOps
  • Deep curiosity in technology trends and proficient with MS Azure Compute and Platform services
  • Conduct code reviews, security reviews, and architectural reviews, and provide solutions/improvements, as necessary
  • Provide policy templates, policy definitions and policy fragments, including complex policy expressions, integrations with Service Bus/LogicApps
  • Performs in depth technical analysis, research, proof of concepts, and evaluations as required to validate that the recommendations Enterprise Architecture makes are sound and will not introduce risk into IT Execution
  • Maintains an understanding of long term company strategy and ensures that designs will enable the company to meet the changing industry/competitive demands
  • Complete other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
  • 7 + years of software development with design patterns development, and implementation
  • 5 +Experience with Azure Data Lake, LogicApps, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Data Catalog, Azure Functions
  • 3+ years experience leading offshore teams
  • Development and scripting experience - ex. Python, Powershell, Java Azure CLI, etc.. * Working Knowledge of SDLC/Agile practices - CI/CD pipeline, automated testing, code reviews
  • Experience with API Development and various API Management platforms using LogicApps and Azure WebAPI
  • Experience with project and program management
  • Experience with enterprise software integrations and architecture (ERP, CRM, SCM) using SAP, Peoplesoft and Oracle EBS
  • Experience with Cloud technology (Azure)
  • Demonstrated expertise with software development practices and rolling out new software technologies and solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business issues/opportunities and develop and implement IT initiatives that support organizational goals
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and/or consult on large-scale IT projects
  • Ability to communicate professionally and persuasively with all levels in the organization, including management
