Position Summary for the M&A Functional Integration Lead

The Mergers & Acquisitions(M&A) Functional Integration Lead will support Evoqua through the integration of newly acquired businesses and strategic projects.  This role Identifies, analyzes and  makes recommendations to support successful integration.  Additionally this role aligns the functional ISO and enterprise functional key support to prepare and execute successful integration. 


This position is a hybrid and can be located near any Evoqua office in the United States.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks for the M&A Functional Integration Lead

  • Coordinates planning, resourcing, progress reporting, and troubleshooting for integrations. Ensures successful integration of business functions without disruption to day-to-day operating procedures.
  • Align functional ISO (Customer Service, training, SOPs, etc.) & enterprise functional key support (HR, Finance) teams for integration
  • Coordination with SMEs within functions
  • Business leader for master data cleanup & SAP migration
  • Frequent interaction with business leaders
  • Work closely with all relevant functions (IT, Finance, HR, Legal, Operations Support, etc.) to build and execute integration plans.
  • Build integration plan templates that can be tailored based on specifics of individual acquisitions, ensuring timely and accurate execution of all deliverables associated with assigned M&A integration programs.
  • Conduct due diligence, assess the technological risks associated with integration, and perform requirements gathering and analysis.
  • Work directly with all functions across the company to craft and implement repeatable and scalable acquisitions integration processes to deliver expected deal outcomes
  • Establish and update/revise standards and core practices with lessons learned from each acquisition
  • Lead planning sessions and solution workshops to gather requirements, devise recommendations, and accelerate integration decision-making
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to create a better, faster, easier integration experience for each M&A deal.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver M&A engagements across all of phases of the M&A lifecycle including due-diligence, pre-close, and post-merger integration
  • Regularly reports projects and status to project stakeholders
  • Leading/facilitating/conducting team meetings for Project execution
  • Establishes and monitors (at a high-level) procedure for processing development work in support of strategic initiatives
  • Ensure OtC processes are meeting the needs of the given segment/region and provide regular reporting on the performance of the operations support team.
  • Proactively identify and communicate areas for operational and strategic improvement and share best practices / learning’s

Position Requirements for the M&A Functional Integration Lead


Required: Bachelors Degree



  • 5+ years of experience with functional leadership in key domain (IT, HR, Finance)
  • Experience working with Evoqua central function teams (IT, HR, legal, finance, real estate)
  • Detailed understanding of order to cash & overall business processes
  • Ability to lead through influence
  • Experience managing projects; strong Project Management skills
  • Experience with Change Management
  • Interpersonal Skills: Effectively communicate cross-functionally and with senior management.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Identify problems, determine root cause, and implement permanent corrective action.
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills and a proven background of leading through influence.
  • Solid user of project management tools (ex. MS Projects, Devensoft, Smartsheets, etc.)
