IT Senior Analyst - SAP SD/CS (Sales and Distribution & Customer Services)

About the role

Sr IT Analyst  - SAP SD/CS serves as the SAP technical and functional supportfor the business in logistics processes. The selected individual will work with the business leaders to collect, understand and analyze business demands in a systematic and proactive way. This person will be responsible or technical and process support for the SAP(ECC6.0 and S/4 HANA) projects, change requests or issues particularly in the Sales and Distribution, Contracts and Serice orders.


Your Team

This position will report to the IT Manager - SAP FICO/SD/CS Solutions and collaborate with other analysts, consultants, business users, and business stakeholders. This position has no supervisory responsibility.


What You Will Do

  • Creating project deliverables including conceptual designs, functional and technical specifications, system configuration, and documentation for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflow as they relate to SAP’s SD AND CS modules.
  • Work with other cross functional teams during development and configuration activities to ensure impacts on SD/CS areas are evaluated and implemented while following SAP best practices.
  • Strong SAP technical, configuration, and business area knowledge in SD/CS module.
  • Extensive knowledge of repairs processing, goods receipt, storage location and tracking, integration with SAP Sales Order processing and Finance aspects to track costs of repair, details of repair and final invoice to customer
  • Extensive knowledge of replacement processing including scrap and refurbishment processing
  • Equipment master setup, tracking and integration with warranty tracking and coordination with SD and FI modules for reporting of warranty recognition
  • Extensive knowledge of Service work orders and integration throughout repairs process
  • Knowledge of service labor posting and integration with time keeping system
  • Assist in the design and execution of test plans to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are implemented properly and meet business objectives.
  • Assist the offshore technical team to resolve tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Act as functional/technical project lead related to mergers, acquisitions, or carve-out activities.
  • Individual will be responsible for analysis, integration, testing and support.
  • He/she will work with business and IT teams to ensure customer issues are resolved quickly.


What You Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and execute multiple projects concurrently with a global perspective and the ability to understand and work effectively in a culturally diverse organization.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder interests while simultaneously managing conflicting priorities and business interests with excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, relationship management skills, conflict resolution skills, and negotiation skills.


Technical Knowledge

  • Minimum of 6 years practical, hands-on experience with SAP in the following areas: Sales and Distribution, Service Orders and Contract Management processes.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Finance or related discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Experience implementing and deploying SAP across different business locations.
  • Demonstrated skills and expertise in SAP solution designing.
  • Strong functional configuration and implementation experience of complete Sales and Distribution module execution.
  • Up to 25% Travel may be required.


Big pluses:

  • Knowledge of e-commerce a big plus!!
  • SAP Certified Associate – Sales and Distribution and/or Customer Service.
  • Consulting background.
