Position Summary

We are currently looking for an Inside Sales Representative to work a hybrid work schedule at our location in Rockford, IL. In this role, you will be focused on the high transactional portion of the Heavy Industry business and support in the sales of Aftermarket Products and Services to our customer base (Power, HPI, CPI, Pulp and Paper, etc.).  This position handles established customer’s orders & pricing, develops proposals as needed, and researches product availability.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Respond to sales inquires by contacting both new and existing customers to sell new and recurring business            
  • Creates and delivers quotes and proposals to deliver to customers            
  • Accurately records information in CRM for forecasting            
  • Continues to stay up to date on company and customer technology to remain a trusted partner            
  • Sells increasingly complex products / services; utilizes developing knowledge of products / services and industry to recommend best solutions to customers; receives assistance from senior reps on more complex sales
  • Product or vendor research to support sales opportunities
  • Execution of internal processes : Part number set-up, Vendor set-up, Customer set-up, RMA’s, and Credit or Rebills
  • Quote generation for opportunities they get directly from customers or sent to them by the ASR/FSR.
  • SAP order entry for their own quotes or sent to them by the ASR/FSR
  • Backup ASR’s while they are out of the office
  • Order tracking and expediting
  • Freight quote research

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; BA/BS preferred  
  • 3+ years experience in a similar role 
  • Strong communication skills, both internal and external stakeholders 
  • Ability to gain a strong understanding of company products / services
  • Utilizes sales techniques effectively and developing familiarity with industry
  • Demonstrates ability to identify and cultivate sales from new and/or existing customers
  • Strong skills and knowledge within the SAP and WaterQuote environment prefferred 
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10%
