Position Summary

Evoqua Roseville is looking for a Second Shift Process Lead/Supervisor to direct both the Waste Processing and Wastewater Ion Exchange departments at the facility.  This position requires adherence to Evoqua behavior-based safety and lean management systems to assure functions are performed with the highest attention to employee safety and environmental compliance. Directs high-functioning team of Operators and drives lean management. This function will focus on steering teams/departments to complete a variety of tasks throughout the facility to ensure both internal and external customer expectations are met or exceeded.  This position is directly responsible for leading and coordinating various departments to meet required productions goals.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

  1. Adhere to environmental, health & safety programs and policies to ensure work areas are safe and compliance with environmental regulations is maintained
  2. Mentors and trains Process Operators
  3. Coordinates team activities, sets daily expectations for safety, quality, and scheduling.
  4. Drives continuous improvement and conducts housekeeping/5S audits.
  5. Issue LOTO, Hot work and confined space permits
  6. Must be able to understand all facets of Process Operator duties within each of their own specific area
  7. Create and maintain safe working environment and culture within the organization*Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations
  8. Must be able to function in a team environment; usually works with little to no supervision, works independently and has ability to lead/coach/guide/motivate
  9. Escalate production issues that threaten the companies’ ability to service customers
  10. Understanding of operating permits for environmental compliance
  11. Adhere to product quality standards and related documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Job Safety Analysis and Standard Work
  12. Control and monitor facility equipment and processes to ensure proper waste management and production quality.

Position Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED),
  • A.A. in Chemistry or completion of a wastewater treatment program,
  • Five years-experience in chemical processing or industrial wastewater treatment
  • Knowledge of chemical plating a plus
  • Understanding of water and wastewater chemistry and ability to apply knowledge to water treatment and metals precipitation.
  • Experience with Water Softening, Ion Exchange and/ or Wastewater Treatment systems
  • OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Certification preferred but not required
