Core Responsibilities and Tasks for the Sales Process Speccialist

The Sales Process Specialist is an individual contributor that provides support to sales and sales management to ensure data is timely, accurate and  effectively maintained. Provides intercompany and customer support to facilitate processing of sales activities. Prioritizes  their time to ensure customer satisfaction and project execution excellence.  This role will be primarily to prepare public municipal bids and other public agency documents

Position Summary for the Sales Process Specialist

  • Prepare public municipal bids and other municipal forms and registrations
  • Drive price and profitability by discussing and reviewing market with sales team
  • Supports a specifically defined product line; validates & converts sales lead programs; maintains sales incentive stats, targeted campaigns and assists with specific business segment development  
  • Executes moderately complex tasks within a process or sub process ensuring that performance goals for that process are met; performs tasks in accordance with the performance metrics for that given process 
  • Facilitates New Customer set-up; gathers and provides various forms for purpose of sale or account retentions (e.g. W9, COIs, etc.) 
  • Strong collaboration with customers and intercompany staff on dealing with issues; liaison between sales and business support/central function teams; may coordinate supplies and coverage for sales road shows 
  • Distributes customer communications following sale and install; resolves complex or unusual requests and problems that may require a customized response; communicates solutions/information to the customer 
  • Reviews, edits, organizes and maintains proposal-related documents on the EWT SharePoint site including requests for proposal, specifications and other supporting documentation for opportunities; generates proposals for existing customers and follows up based on direction of sales team  
  • SAP part number support; supports account restamping for sales rep mapping; may conduct order entry for various products; processes quotes in ERP system (e.g. SAP) and provides price and availability with
  • established guidelines 
  • Job package review, submission and tracking; supports and processes RMA requests

Position Requirements for the Sales Process Specialist


  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of applicable experience in sales coordination or administrative support roles OR BS/BA degree with demonstrated capability in comparable work                          


  • Strong communication skills 
  • High attention to detail to produce bids with a no mistake intention
  • Great attention to deadlines and the ability to manage independent and team deliverables
  • Experience and ability to edit and type text in PDF form (Adobe, PDFExchange, etc.)
  • Intra-departmental communication for purpose of alignment/ information sharing 
  •  Ability to collaborate with other disciplines 
  •  Must be able to function in a team environment; usually works with direct supervision, but can work independently 
  • Understanding of general business concepts 
  • Fluency in standard Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)  
  • Basic understanding of ERP and CRM systems (e.g. SAP) 
  • Basic understanding of IT business tools
