Evoqua Water Technologies is currently searching for an experienced Industrial UV Technical Sales Engineer– Disinfection Division in the US.


This position can work remotely anywhere in the US but a North Central location is preferred. This individual will provide technical support and solutions to direct end-users and the Disinfection channel sales from pre-sale through installation and implementation. Maintain extensive knowledge of complex aspects of products and systems and may present/demonstrate remotely and/or at client site. Analyze customer requirements and illustrate how company solutions can provide value and support their organization. Must work with a senese of urgency to configure technical solutions for customers and ensure successful customer integration. Answer client questions on product functionality and usage and solve sales support problems. Provide technical consultation and knowledge transfer with sales staff/trainers/product support. Provide feedback to development and other groups as needed. May assist in technical responses to RFIs/RFPs. Work in partnership with channel sales team to strategize sales approaches and ensure attainment of sales quotas. Understand specific client systems/equipment requirements in order to identify additional sales opportunities to provide to the sales team. 


Responsibilities:

  • Manage a specific geographic territory, set pricing to existing customer base while prospecting for new business (Indirect and Direct Sales)
  • Assist clients with technical solutions to help identify and resolve their water and disinfection treatment issues.
  • Develop and maintain plans for strategic accounts that exceed expectations in revenue retention/growth, account profitability, and customer satisfaction/loyalty
  • Develop, build and cultivate long-term relationships with key management within customer organization
  • Utilize CRM tools to record customer interactions and maintain customer opportunity information
  • Perform client presentations, articulating the value proposition of product, solution and service offerings
  • Provide management with suggestions for improving volume, market share and price levels
  • Manage the customer relationship as well as relationships with internal business center partners to ensure the effective development and delivery of solutions

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field such as Chemistry, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science or similar strongly preferred
  • Relevant industrial market experience can substitute for a bachelor’s degree in science or related field
  • Must have experience selling UV for water disinfection
  • At least 3+ years sales experience in a similar industrial industry is required
  • Knowledge of  AOP, Chlorine measurement, Ozone Generation and On-Site Hypochlorite Generation techniques and Suppliers preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other software will be an important component of success in the position
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record must meet eligibility requirements to drive company vehicle
  • Successfully demonstrated experience selling or experience in the Disinfection product line
  • Ability to develop solutions, review design, costing, and installation estimates with the Application Engineering, Project Management, service and aftermarket organizations
  • Can travel by car or air to customer sites, sales meetings, trade shows, regional training or sales meetings nationally with up to 30% overnight travel
  • Achieve the required amount of external sales calls as defined by metrics for the sales position
  • Independently performs professional work that typically requires interpreting and processing complex data
