Position Summary
Evoqua is looking for a Field Service Engineer to report to our Tampa, FL facility.
This entry level Field Service Engineer is responsible for routine technical work in the field involving maintenance, repair and small installations of new control systems or upgrades as well as some design and re-design work. The successful individual will have electrical installation and some controls experience as well as the ability to comprehend electrical schematics and PLC ladder logic. You will develop skills and receive guidance and direction from Sr Engineering/Sr.(Master) Professional.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks
What your day will look like as a Field Service Engineer

- Supports in conducting standard site survey to develop base or installation design plans
- Provides support in training customers to maintain and adjust standard equipment, test equipment, calibration items, etc. based on established protocol
- Support in preparing and submitting reports covering all job activities
- Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem area for others
- Demonstrates a basic knowledge of professional principals and skills
- Applies judgment and authority for safety stop work
- Independently performs basic tasks and functions for professional field of work
- Specialized skill/training or certification may be required in addition to all prior level Tech training requirements

Position Requirements for Field Service Engineer
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
• Required BS/BA degree in Engineering - ideally Electrical Engineering but will consider other Engineering degrees
• 1-3 yrs. of experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
• Basic engineering principals.
• Largely task/tactical oriented.
• Ability to research electro-mechanical parts needed for repairs, alterations of water systems.
• Familiarity with PLC including program loading and minor changes to Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC’s
• Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Able to execute standardized tasks.
• Able to collaborate with other disciplines.
• Commits to deliverable with customers and/or management;
• understanding of business acumen; strong communication skills.
• Will progress to limited guidance required for complex tasks;
• Ability to execute tasks autonomously.
• Ability to understand complex Plumbing and Instrumentation Diagrams.
Additional Details
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 20% and usually within a 20 mile radius, minimal amount of overnight travel.
