Position Summary

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the construction activities that take place on the worksite. This person would be involved in planning, organizing, and controlling projects.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

•    Live our culture and exemplify our Growth Enabling Behaviors to be highly enabled to deliver, highly empowered to succeed and highly accountable to lead.
•    Manages sub-contractors by locating, evaluating, and selecting sub-contractors; monitor and controls performance.
•    Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions; providing non-project operating and capital budget information
•    Accomplishes construction project results by defining project purpose and scope; calculating resource required; establishing standards and protocols; evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions.
•    Approves construction projects by conducting inspections at critical phases
•    Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing codes
•    Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
 

Position Requirements

FORMAL EDUCATION: 
•    Preferred: Technical degree
•    3-8 yrs of experience in construction industry required.

 KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
•    Strong knowledge of their trade
•    Communication skills
•    Strong leadership
•    Ability to lead by example.
•    Ability to educate new employees.
•    Planning and staying on timeline.
•    Budgeting
•    Ability to read, understand, and direct work based on engineering drawings, schematics and construction documents.
•    Ability to set priorities and exercise flexibility where necessary.
