Position Summary

The Inside Sales Associate sells products and/or services to customers through a variety of mediums and acts as point of contact post-sale, focusing on ongoing customer satisfaction, retention, and growing the business. The Inside Sales Associate maintains relationships with accounts through ongoing client contact and support. The Inside Sales Associate closes sales within territory, defined by geographic area, industry, or product/service group. The Inside Sales Associate responds to client inquiries and offers bold recommendations on appropriate products and services. Additionally, the Inside Sales Associate must work with a sense of urgency to execute sales strategy, generate sales reports, and identify opportunities to increase sales volume while ensuring service levels are met and may work in tandem with outside sales team to achieve sales goals and revenue targets.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks for Inside Sales Associate

  • Contacts both new and existing customers to sell new and recurring business            
  • Creates and delivers quotes and proposals to deliver to customers            
  • Ensures customer satisfaction and retention            
  • Accurately records information in CRM for forecasting            
  • Continues to stay up to date on company and customer technology to remain a trusted partner            
  • Sells increasingly complex products / services; utilizes developing knowledge of products / services and industry to recommend best solutions to customers; receives assistance from senior reps on more complex sales
  • Tactical to moderately strategic sales; small to mid-size accounts and increasing revenue responsibility; increasing volume of total customers
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements for Inside Sales Associate

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience
  • BA/BS preferred    
  • Strong communication skills
  • Intra-departmental communication for purpose of alignment/information sharing
  • Working understanding of company products / services
  • Utilizes sales techniques effectively and developing familiarity with industry
  • Demonstrates ability to identify and cultivate sales from new and/or existing customers
  • Ability to complete sales with minimal supervision 
  • Basic understanding of ERP and CRM systems
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
